Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you use Generative-AI in your writing?

A: Short answer: HELL NO

Long answer: I do not use Generative-AI in my work or personal life. Unfortunately, many of the tools and sites that I have used have had Large Language Model/Generative-AI "features" (I personally disagree that these are features) forcibly inserted into them over time (at the time of writing this, 2026-03-26, even Microsoft Word, what was once the gold standard for Traditional Publishing, now has it, ugh) but I do not use these "features". I do not prompt. I do not generate. These "features" raise ethical, legal, and quality-based issues, but even if they were useful, they are not me. My work is my own (including any errors you may encounter). Additionally, I design my own covers using images from royalty-free stock photo websites where I have found no indication of Generative-AI usage in the image's listing. The images I use for marketing purposes come from photo sites specifically approved for that purpose.

In summary, I do NOT support the use of Generative-AI, ESPECIALLY when creating art for commercial sale.

Q: Why can't I find your books on Kobo/Apple/Google/etc? Are they only on Amazon?

A: As my books are currently available in Kindle Unlimited, the eBooks are required to be exclusive to Amazon. Currently, my paperbacks are exclusive to Amazon as well, but I have plans to release them wide in the future.

Q: If your books are for sale on Amazon, why can't I find your books on Amazon?

A: Probably because you searched by my author name. Currently Amazon is experiencing a glitch (across many of its different local sites) where my author name Farrah Lewis (2 R's in Farrah) autocorrects on Amazon's backend to Farah Lewis (1 R). This means that when you type in my author name, it tries to bring up someone completely different. But as there is currently no Farah-with-one-R Lewis listed to any degree, it just brings up a handful of random listings. Trust me, I'm aware of the problem. I look forward to the day I can remove this question from my FAQ. In the meantime, try searching for my titles instead. Or click HERE, where you can find links for my books directly.

Q: I've read He Ate Their Eyes and Everyone Goes Outside Eventually already. Do you have any other books? What are you working on now?

A: I currently have two projects that I'm working on in the background. One is my upcoming standalone horror-romance (think Practical Magic aesthetic meets Netflix's Haunting of Hill House). The other is my upcoming queer horror-romance series. (think Gilmore Girls meets Scream). The titles/covers/release dates for both projects have yet to be revealed. Q: Are your books supernatural horror?

A: My current books, He Ate Their Eyes and Everyone Goes Outside Eventually both have elements of supernatural horror (or do they?), but my upcoming queer horror-romance series will be more slasher horror in genre.

Q: Are your books extreme horror?

A: No. My books would not fall under the subgenre of extreme horror. I do not tend to linger/over-describe the more brutal aspects of my stories. Yes, He Ate Their Eyes contains cannibalism, but it's predominantly off-screen. There is also murder/violence, but it's not lingered on. That being said, I still write horror. There is gore/death/etc.

Q: Are your books spicy?

A: No. The levels of spice in my writing may vary from book to book, but as a rule, my books would be considered low- to no-spice. (Also, I'm a big fan of a slow-burn, so...)

Q: I love your books. What's the best way I can support you?

A: Beyond buying my books (which, thank you so much if you have!), the best way you can support me and other authors is to leave a review, especially if you review where you purchased the book. Also join my newsletter HERE to stay up to date on my upcoming releases.
